Boutique Developer Digital Dynamics Software Now Has Clients On Every Continent
Developer helps speed vendors, casino operators through lab process.
As the International Casino Expo (ICE) gets underway in London, Digital Dynamics Software has announced it now has its gaming software or hardware on every continent. As gaming floors become more complex and machines are sourced from around the world, the challenges of a getting those devices to speak to one another have become progressively more challenging. Digital Dynamics Software (DigDyn) is a developer of the SAS Engine and the SAS Gateway that specializes in taking the headache out of potential communications problems.
Explaining the company’s positioning in the market, Tony Antonucci, president of DigDyn said, “We have achieved this global market penetration because of our relatively small team of highly focused engineers. The upside is that when a customer faces a challenge, they don’t talk to a call center, nor do they speak with someone who has to dig down into a manual for guidance. Our customers routinely get to talk with the person who actually wrote the code. The chances are, our guys have seen the issue before and know exactly how to deal with it. We have taken the perceived disadvantage of size and turned it into an advantage of focused customer care. As a result, this small company’s products and services are literally all over the world.”
DigDyn has grown its market niche to global proportions by offering the services the biggest players in the market can sometimes find challenging to supply, continuity of customer care, an intimate working knowledge of the customers’ casino floor and the lab approved software that allows slots from across the world to speak directly to the casino’s host system.
DigDyns’s SAS engine is a complete, lab-certified, implementation of the SAS protocol which allows casino operators to get a full-featured SAS implementation in their gaming machines within a few weeks without the development and testing effort and is now used on casino floors on all continents. DigDyn also offers a migration path to new emerging protocols, such as G2S.
The company also offers its SAS Gateway which is a hardware device that allows vendors to connect almost any gaming device into their system and realize huge savings, as much as two thirds from “day one.” Instead of having to invest on SMIBs, DigDyn’s SAS Gateway allows connectivity for a fraction of the cost. On a large casino floor, that price difference will immediately amount to substantial savings.
Said Antonucci, “What makes gaming so interesting to our team is that modern gaming requires so much more depth of information being communicated. Management has to have control, reporting capability while enhancing the player experience. This SAS Gateway supported functions include Meter Reporting, Vouchers/Tickets, Card-Based Accounts, Event Reporting, Progressives and Funds Transfer (EFT & AFT). We are in the business of supplying reliable, low cost solutions to the challenges that modern gaming executives face every day.”
